The monograph provides an overview of geographical distribution of irrigated soils of Jizzak desert, their mechanical properties, agrochemical, chemical properties, depth of sedimentation, mineralization and chemical composition, salinity levels and types of saline soils and qualitative properties of salts. It also provides a brief overview of water-soluble and toxic salts in different layers, the amount of gypsum and carbonate in the soil and recommendations for improving soil deforestation. In addition, opinions on the need to develop very uncomfortable saline soils for irrigated agriculture and on the developability of the Jizzak steppe are presented.
