Carren Adhiambo Otieno è docente presso l'Università di Rongo, Rongo (Kenya). Ha 17 anni di esperienza di insegnamento e ricerca all'università in microbiologia e patologia vegetale. Attualmente è candidata al dottorato di ricerca presso l'Università Maseno, dopo aver completato con successo la laurea in botanica (microbiologia) e la laurea in scienze. È felicemente sposata e ha 4 figli.
