This book addresses questions raised within the field of integration by the current economic crisis. Amongst the issues considered are the viability of decoupling between multinational firms and the banking system, the US dollar-centred monetary system and the continuation of the US dollar as the unique reserved currency, the long term viability of US-China economic relations, and the future role that Asia could play vis-Ã -vis the West.
