Pectus excavatum is the most common congenital deformity of the thoracic wall. The author is Pediatric Surgeon at the "Louis Turcanu" Emergency Children's Hospital Timisoara, Romania and Lecturer at the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Orthopedics, "Victor Babes" University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara, Romania. He holds a PhD and has more than 15 years background in Pediatric Surgery and chest wall malformations.
