Xhomara's work outlines the body of knowledge in relation to curriculum design and academic performance in general and more particularly in the case study areas of literacy, maths and science. His research shows the differentiation between the high ranking OECD European countries and low ranking countries. Future research should investigate the relationship between academic performance and differing teaching and learning variables in all three study areas as the differences in achievements between low and high ranking countries seems difficult to solely attribute to teaching time allotted, although it is clear that this has some effect. Licenciada en enseñanza de las ciencias, Master en "Investigación en Educación" y Doctora en "Ciencias de la Educación/Pedagogía" en la Universidad de Tirana, Albania. Ha publicado cinco libros y numerosos artículos científicos, así como ponencias en conferencias internacionales sobre educación. En la actualidad imparte clases de Ciencias de la Educación en la Universidad Europea de Tirana.
