JUDITH M. KNOWLTON The author was born in Morristown, New Jersey in 1935. She is a graduate of Oberlin College, and was a Certified Addictions Counselor in New Jersey and Pennsylvania for 21 years. Judy is the mother of three grown children: Garry, Howard, and Caroline. and the grandmother of Jenny, Maddie, Andrew, Olivia, and Sophie. Jonathan is held in memory. She has written several books on addictions and personal growth and is the owner of QUOTIDIAN PUBLISHERS - which means "One day at a time" in Latin. A widow, and retired, she and serial cats have lived in the Town of Cushing, in mid-coast Maine, since 1996, but she no longer lives in Dr. Benson's house.
