This book facilitates a full understanding of the basic principles and key supporting standards of cyber physical systems (CPS). It describes in a systematic fashion the architecture of CPS that is appropriate for most applications and services, including mobile sensing devices. It discusses enabling technologies such as machine-to-machine communications and mobile cloud computing for CPS. Finally, it demonstrates the great potential of applying CPS in public life by offering example CPS applications, such as connected healthcare and multi-player gaming for public transport crowd.
