The aim of this book is to provide a comprehensive approach to the study of the Cyprus conflict where both theory and policy are combined. In this book, I first test the theoretical framework in a conflict situation. In this case, the applicability of a combination of game theoretic approach and individual level decision-making model (cognitive theory) is tested. Secondly, based on the survey results through game theory and individual level decision making (of the elites), this book offers policy recommendations for the resolution of the Cyprus conflict. This book analyzes the impasse in the Cyprus conflict to find areas of conflict and compromise between the positions of the two parties; to ascertain how a resolution of the conflict can be achieved; and to assess the applicability of different conflict resolution theories in this case.
