Autorenporträt
Doug Youra is from the Midwest, growing up in Denmark, Wisconsin. Military service took him to Heidelberg, Germany, where he played tuba in the 33rd Army Band. Returning home, he married his high school sweetheart and attended the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, graduating with degrees in English and German. His professional life included teaching, data processing, and small business ownership. In retirement, he enjoys fishing, working crossword puzzles, playing competitive bridge, and "tooting his horn" in an 80 piece community band. He currently resides in Green Bay, WI, spending time with family and friends at his Door County cottage on the Bay of Green Bay. Czechmates is his debut novel.
