Stanley Bill is Director of the Polish Studies Programme at the University of Cambridge. He works on twentieth-century Polish literature and culture, and on contemporary politics in Poland. He has published articles on populism and civil society, postcolonial theory in the Polish context, legacies of Polish Romanticism, and the works of Czes¿aw Mi¿osz, Bruno Schulz, and Fyodor Dostoevsky. His translation of Mi¿osz's novel The Mountains of Parnassus was published by Yale University Press in 2017. He is founder and editor-at-large of the news and opinion website Notes from Poland.
