When opposites attract... Darrin Mann knows what it's like to claw your way to the top. Growing up as the oldest of four with an absentee mother, Darrin worked his ass off to get out of the little three bedroom house he'd grown up in just outside of Beaumont. Now a hotshot sports agent and Dallas' newly-crowned Most Eligible Bachelor, Darrin enjoys the finer things in life-expertly tailored Italian suits, the best wine money can buy, and the occasional perfectly coiffed woman. There's just one problem-being crowned Dallas' Most Eligible Bachelor isn't all it's cracked up to be. In an effort to escape the media and random, kind of creepy, pairs of panties being left on his doorstep and mailed to his office, Darrin decides to spend some time down at The Devils Ranch...where he meets single mom Miranda Jacobson, the most imperfectly coiffed woman imaginable. What could Dallas' Most Eligible Bachelor and a wildlife biologist have in common? More than they think...
Autorenporträt
Aubrey's been reading and writing since she was about two and a half, and has been a storyteller for as long as she can remember. Early on, she discovered a love of romance, reading her first Harlequin somewhere around age twelve (it featured an F1 race car driver, as this was long before NASCAR was cool). She wrote her first romance novel in high school. It was admittedly not very good, but she wrote another, and another. She thinks those first few might still be on a floppy disk somewhere in a storage bin. Aubrey eventually honed her writing abilities through undergrad creative writing courses and eventually graduate school, where she earned a Master of Arts in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. These days she writes books she likes to describe as "stories about broken people healing, finding love, and laughing a little bit, too."
