Josh Foreman is from Jackson, Mississippi. His second home is Seoul, South Korea, where he lived and taught from 2005 to 2014. He holds degrees from Mississippi State University and the University of New Hampshire. He lives in Starkville, Mississippi, with his wife, Melissa, and his two children, Keeland and Genevieve. He teaches journalism at Mississippi State University.
