Bishop Edward Houston Stephens, Jr. has pastored Golden Gate Cathedral of Memphis for more than thirty years. Bishop Stephens received a Bachelor's in Biblical Studies from Crichton College and is an alumnus of Harvard University's Leadership Institute. With an Honorary Doctorate from St. Thomas Christian College, Bishop Ed currently serves as a member of the Bishop's Council for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship and the Bishop of the Central Region. He is a board member for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the Tennessee Board of Judicial Conduct, and the Tennessee Assistance for Needy Families. He is the visionary behind STAR Academy, a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, an accomplished author, and a national recording artist. Bishop Stephens and Elder Beverly, his wife, are the proud parents of three sons, Edward III, Eron, and Evan. They have eight grandchildren.
