Dancing With Ghosts Daughter of Lightning 6 - Being the further adventures of Jeniche of Antar The adventure continues, but for Jeniche, all seems hopeless. On her quest to find the almost mythical Pilgrims, she finds herself in Ekador - a place remembered only in children's tales where the land is said to meet the sky. When she arrives there, though, it is to discover a vast, deserted, artificial plain atop yet another equally deserted underground city. What is more, she finds that if she wants to meet the Pilgrims, she is on the wrong side of the world. With the past refusing to loosen its heartbreaking grip and the odds against her journeying to where she wants to be, Jeniche is all but ready to give up her search. Her companions, however, have other ideas and, with more than a little impetus from a nearby volcanic eruption, they persuade her to press on. At first it seems to be no more than a race against time, challenging as that is. It soon becomes something far more hazardous, however, for the dense forest of the forgotten land to which they have travelled contains a dark secret. Lurking there and spreading its malign influence is the revenant of a past evil. Caught up in the horrifying events, they find themselves engaged in a danse macabre, fighting for survival against an enemy they thought dead and buried.

Autorenporträt
Graeme K. Talboys was born in Hammersmith. In between teaching in schools and museums, he has published many works of non-fiction (on museum education, drama, and matters spiritual). He has also written more than a score of novels. The first (written when he was seventeen) was lost on a train. The next two (written in his early twenties) he wishes had been. Thankfully, he's considerably improved his writing since then and been published by the likes of HarperVoyager. His previous jobs have included stacking shelves, pot boy, sandwich maker, and sweeping factory floors. As an adult his first job was teaching Drama and English. Some of his pupils still speak to him.
