Yoko Tanaka is an illustrator, writer and painter born in Japan and currently living in London. Her work has won numerous awards and has been exhibited internationally to high acclaim. Some of Yoko's illustrated children's books are The Magician's Elephant by Kate DiCamillo, the Theodosia series by R. L. LaFevers, and Sparrow Girl by Sara Pennypacker.
