Marshall Chair of Military History and director of the department of military history at the US Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He is the author or editor of fourteen books, including A Raid Too Far: Operation Lam Son 719and Vietnamization in Laos. He resides in Georgetown, Texas.
