Cynthia Rogan was born in Alabama, raised in central Florida, and moved to Oregon in the spring of 1980. She began writing as soon as she could hold a pencil, but, over the last ten years, she has begun to view her work as more than just a hobby. It's more about trying to understand why people do what they do. She is an accountant by trade but spends every spare moment writing. In addition to her poems, short stories, and essays, she is currently working on her sixth novel.
