Autorenporträt
After years of living alone, Dawn Gibbons decided to get a dog for companionship. She found four-year-old Daphne through an animal rescue organization after a breeder had surrendered her. In July, 2022, Daphne crossed the rainbow bridge. Her story lives on in her series of children's books. Daphne's passing opened space for another blind dog to have a life of joy and adventure, so Dawn adopted Maxwell who had his eyes surgically removed before being adopted. Dawn and Maxwell live and travel full-time in a camper van and will someday return to their home in Calgary, Alberta. daphnetheblinddog.com
