Autorenporträt
Nery Mariela Stone was born in the province of Colon, Republic of Panama. She is the youngest of three siblings. Her sister is Grace Beverly, and her brother was Rogelio Alberto. Due to a large age gap between Nery and her siblings, she often felt like an only child. Nery attended St. Mary's Academy from primary to secondary school. Shortly after graduating from high school in the top of her class, Nery met her first husband. Given that he was in the Honduran military, she ended up moving to Honduras along with her parents Beresford Lloyd Stone and Ruth Elizabeth Skeete. While in Honduras, Nery's first two children, Antonio and Ruth, were born. That marriage ended when her children were still very young, which led Nery to the United States with her parents and children. During that time, Nery rededicated her life to Christ and began serving in the ministry. She retired in 2021 from one of the big four accounting firms located in Los Angeles, California. During retirement, Nery found passion in writing out the story of her life and several lessons learned along the way. She hopes to continue impacting lives through this devotional long after she is gone.
