In "The Winter Goddess," widower Michael MacGregor accidentally found himself in a time not his own. There, then, he became embroiled in a struggle for the survival of humanity: a struggle to wrest control from the evil powers intent on stealing the last ounces of oil and minerals and clean water from a dying Earth in order to maintain their own wealth - maniacs insane enough to send people to the Cretaceous Period to mine the resources so abundant then, with no regard for the consequences. The campaign to take back the planet began in the distant past. But the key to winning lay in the future, and so MacGregor, his new wife and expanding family, and the community of Haven launch an offensive against the most powerful men and women in the world. Now, pitted against both the financial and political elite and an ancient and powerful enemy cabal, they must take control not only of Earth but of Time in a war between "Darkness and Light."

Autorenporträt
Stories of all kinds enthralled Allison M. Azulay when she was a child, starting with fairy tales read aloud by her parents and then Nancy Drew Mysteries discovered in the one-room schoolhouse she attended in her early grades. Since that time, she has devoured everything from romance and historical drama, to mysteries and crime thrillers, to chick lit and science fiction. Though she wrote tales of her own in her youth, "adulting" put a damper on her creativity awhile. Later, encouraged by her husband, she explored her talents and now writes novels and short stories. "I try to give readers the sorts of thrills I get reading books by Diana Gabaldon and Tom Clancy, Jack Whyte and Louise Penny."
