He has Faries kidnap the Ranger children holding them as hostages. While the Rangers are scattered searching for the lost children. The plan is to have wild men attack while they are unprepared. The Faries will attack the Elves, with their defeat Modoc with the power from the underworld will controll all the realms. A young Elf will attempt to warn the Rangers facing the dangerous forest at night. The would faces a darkness of evil that if it wins will be changed forever. The story is the first of a series which is followed by a Journey of Hope
