Autorenporträt
Otto Flake (1880-1963) wuchs als Kind deutscher Eltern im Elsaß auf. Nach Aufenthalten in Paris und Berlin, wo er Mitarbeiter der 'Neuen Rundschau' wurde, arbeitete er während des Ersten Weltkrieges in Brüssel. 1918 schloß er sich der Zürcher Dada-Bewegung an, unternahm in den folgenden Jahredn ausgedehnte Reisen nach Rußland, England und Frankreich. Von 1928 bis zu seinem Tode lebte Flake in Baden-Baden.
