The globalization of the world`s manufacturing systems is major issue to local industry and pushing them to its next transformation - smart manufacturing. In order to become more competitive, manufacturers need to embrace emerging technologies to convert data into useful information using advanced analytics to improve their efficiency, quality and productivity. This research demonstrates the recent advanced techniques and trends in manufacturing systems and develops a next-generation quality control framework for dynamic, data-driven car`s engines production systems. The objective of the framework is to generate Smart Manufacturing (SM) configuration. The proposed framework serves for quality improvement of the assembly lines and setting in-line test stands. Then case study application is then presented to verify the framework, the framework is implemented to an existing manufacturing facility to evaluate its performance, based on the criteria proposed in the framework.
