Forest Land Division (FD) data - data on the boundaries of forestry enterprises, aviation units and fire hazard monitoring zones. The boundaries of TDs are subject to annual changes due to the establishment of new, abolition of old, and the dissolution or merging of aviation units/forest enterprises; and the assignment of forest fund areas to different monitoring zones. These changes need to be taken into account in the structure of the Information System for Remote Monitoring (ISDM-Rosleskhoz). The book contains a review of technologies for updating TD data of the forest fund, including an analysis of the current state of data on the boundaries of territorial division, a description of forest management technologies on the basis of GIS. The process of designing and development of the geoinformation technology for updating forest boundary data within ISDM-Rosleskhoz is described in detail. The book gives an approbation of the developed technology on the test region for the fire season 2009. The book is intended for GIS-experts working in the field of forestry in Russia.
