My haikus have gone through many struggles to be seen. They carry a romantic, melancholic, and sometimes dark essence. Sometimes they are classical, following the strict rules of Japanese poetry, while other times, they are modern, breaking those rules. But the one constant in all of them is loneliness, the same loneliness that has been humanity's companion from birth to death.

Autor

Shayan Iroomloo Tabrizi is an Iranian actor, writer, poet, and film critic based in Vancouver. With a master's degree in dramatic literature, he moves between performance, writing, poetry, and visual storytelling, exploring themes of solitude, memory, and the subtle tensions of everyday life. His books have been published in Iran and Canada, and his analytical essays on world and Iranian cinema focus on narrative form, structure, and cinematic language. As a street photographer, he captures quiet, nostalgic urban moments; his visual work has been exhibited and awarded in Vancouver. He continues to work across acting, writing, poetry, and photography-seeking small emotional truths hidden in the ordinary and the unseen.
