Autorenporträt
Jane MacKenzie fell in love with France as a student in Aix-en-Provence. After graduating she went on to teach in Marseille, and then all over the world. In 2010 she took a government appointment as Head of the UK Liaison Office at CERN in Geneva, home to the Hadron Collider, where she worked alongside Nobel Prize Winner Professor Peter Higgs. Returning from overseas, Jane settled in a lovely village in the Scottish Highlands. But after her husband died she had a yearning to return to France and rediscover the sunshine culture. She built her dream home in Collioure, in French Catalonia, a region full of Spanish influence, home to artists and wonderful wine.
