ALLEN J. WIENER, based in Clearwater Beach, Florida, is a freelance writer whose other books include David Crockett in Congress: The Rise and Fall of the Poor Man's Friend, winner of the Independent Publishers Book Awards Bronze Medal for Best Regional Nonfiction.
