He appeared in multiple episodes of Perry Mason, and went on to appear in several episodes of the 1960s Batman television series as Warden Crichton. In 1978, he joined the cast of General Hospital in the role of Edward Quartermaine, for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award for Supporting Actor in 1982.
