Davidia and Slirander had the 'single' task of researching Slirander's grandmas memories for a school age based thesis. Not much was known about her history. Her memories were stored in a secret place inside the room with the waving hands wall. What secrets did those memories hold? Was there danger attached to them? Their journey of discovery took them to the land of the memory eaters, clandestine operations in World War Two, scrubbing floors in a boarding school, witnessing a banned pugilistic competition, a stint in prison, almost blended as staff into a seedy western saloon, tricked into being an almost working class girl and lost in a desert. Who was the real grandma? Was she the vivid storyteller as Slirander remembered or was another truth hidden within the grey haired old lady with the road map face and non-fashionable attire? Ken lives in Melbourne, Australia. His first venture into writing began on a sewerage farm whilst engaged in an aquaculture project in 2002. Within a year he had written a series of short stories and a year later began his first novel Stumped.Imagination provides an endless supply of ideas used to create and craft into his crime and fantasy fiction novels, his preferred genres.Ken loves to travel; with many places he has visited providing inspiration for his novels. He has travelled extensively throughout Europe, Asia and other parts of the world and lived and worked in Austria, Europe, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Caravanning locally is of great interest also.Ken's primary occupation is as an accountant currently running his own business.Sport has been a major influence in Ken's life. His two crime fiction novels have both been influenced by his involvement with sport (cricket and golf).Ken's inspiration for writing the Davidia series of novels has been his daughter, Sophie. He has assisted in raising two children. His novels have been written with a sense of humour, giving him a refreshing feeling and allowing him to relax from the seriousness of life.
