Dawn L. Murray is the Founder/CEO of House of Dawn, Inc, a non-profit organization that provides a stable, loving home for teen mothers and their children. Dawn holds a BS in Human Services and in Business Administration from Shorter University. Dawn has several certifications and trainings in the area of nonprofit management, including, nonprofit finance & accounting essentials. Dawn has worked her passion, helping pregnant and parenting teen mothers in various ways since 1999 in Clayton County Georgia. Working this path Dawn often encountered teen mothers in need of a safe haven for themselves as well as their children. Faced with this need for second chance housing, Dawn took her passion and twisted it to fit the need and created, a Second Chance Home in May of 2005. Second Chance Homes provides a safe space for teenage mothers ages 13-18 and their children. It also provides housing and family centric supportive services to pregnant and parenting youth. While successfully operating House of Dawn, Inc, Dawn L. Murray has positioned herself to be a leader establishing herself as a motivation speaker, instructional trainer, author and business industry leader. She has also worked tirelessly establishing herself as a Non-Profit Strategist for her business Non-Profit Success a for profit business helping nonprofits succeed. Her skills and ability have paved the way for her to successfully give guidance and help to other nonprofits, leading them down a path to success. As the owner of Nonprofit Success, Dawn has been sharing her passion, experience and, business success in taking nonprofits from start-up to sustainability by facilitating workshops, trainings, and a nonprofit coaching program. Utilizing her 20 years of experience as a successful nonprofit endeavor Dawn has raised over 10 million dollars in funding for the House of Dawn and has helped thousands of families in their quest to better themselves and their lives.
