Days of Sun and Laughter are a collection of short stories about myself, friends, families, community relationships, and the culture of our time in the late 1940''s and the 1950''s. My stories take place in a small community called Alexander Park and the surrounding areas. Alexander Park was new and built for military and civilian families who moved there to work for the WW II effort in the local shipyards of Tidewater Virginia. We were a tight knit neighborhood without a lot of money. Riches came in parental devotion, community involvement and hatching up adventures with friends. My stories are about these adventures and will capture the ages of all readers because they are timeless in lessons, values, and fun.
