An unknown place inhabited exclusively by women who, however, do seem to know her. She carries a drowned sister on her back, and she has not told anyone that she is leaving or where because not even she knows that her trip is going to be so long. A space in which the goats dominate everything that is not guarded by the countless dogs that live there, and in which an immense rock hides the sunlight and dominates the landscape. In which, in the background, a lake delimits the borders of the land, perpetually flown over by birds. And where they also live a blind woman whom everyone adores and a girl who runs from one place to another without ever having left that place. A corner of land, water and trees where the newcomer does not want to be even though it may be, as they tell her without her believing it, the place where she finally discovers what it means to be part of something.

Se licenció en Derecho por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Ha publicado las novelas De bestias y aves (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2022), por la que ha recibido el Premio Nacional de Narrativa, el Premio de la Crítica, el Premio Francisco Umbral al Libro del Año y el Premio Cálamo Otra Mirada; Las efímeras (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2015) y Las hijas de Sara (Alianza, 2003); el relato largo ilustrado Eterno amor (Páginas de Espuma, 2021) y los libros de relatos La vida sumergida (Galaxia Gutenberg, 2017), El mes más cruel (Impedimenta, 2010), por el que fue nombrada Nuevo Talento Fnac, y Viajes inocentes (Páginas de Espuma, 2005), por el que obtuvo el Premio Ojo Crítico de Narrativa.Ha sido incluida en distintos volúmenes de relato. Entre otros: Cuento español actual (Cátedra, 2014), Mar de pirañas (Menoscuarto, 2012), Siglo XXI (Menoscuarto, 2010) y Pequeñas Resistencias 5 (Páginas de Espuma, 2010). Ha publicado los poemarios Da dolor (La Bella Varsovia, 2020); Las órdenes (La Bella Varsovia, 2018), por el que recibió el Premio Libro del Año del Gremio de Libreros de Madrid; Mente animal y La hija del cazador (La Bella Varsovia, 2014 y 2011); en 2010 publicó el cuadernillo de poesía De la mano iremos al bosque (Ediciones del 4 de agosto). Forma parte de diversas antologías poéticas: Años de trece meses (Demipage, 2022), Sombras di-versas (Vaso Roto, 2018) y Los jueves poéticos (Hiperión, 2007).
