The son of a police chief and the grandson of a fire chief, Steve Willard has resided in San Diego since 1977. After joining the San Diego Police Department in 1985, he worked patrol, crime prevention, investigations, traffic and administration. A charter member of the San Diego Police Museum since 1997, he now serves as the organization's vice-president. He is the author of four books, a lecturer and a contributing columnist to several law enforcement publications. www.
