The BoV was written in the midst of family Vascular Dementia when instant decisions had to be made. The BoVII is written in a time of peace when contemplation, discernment and mental agility are the norm and decision making can take a long time before commitment to change can happen. Life is more restful and we can move back into the current cycle of age which is the Spiral of Life with time to reflect upon the past and the present before commitment to change and a period of self challenge of Loss with all of it's surrounding feelings. Loss is important to people. There are many kinds of Loss and they can differ within each Cycle of Age in a person's Spiral of Life. Nothing to hold on to --- LOST. The Verant Model deals with Loss and examples of how to deal with it. Sometimes it is difficult to know it's Cause. Normally it is a tragedy, a trauma and not a drama. Loss can usually be broken down into feelings that flow from Fear. These are always negative feelings which must be dealt with for personal survival. These can change into a life with positive feelings about self, as well as others. This is where you will reach after you have read and have worked through the theories in this book. "There is none so blind as those who will not listen" (William Slater} "We cannot solve our problems with the same level of thinking that created them" (Albert Einstein) "If it is hard to do, then you are doing it wrong" (Lynn Doolan)
