But, he also plans on hunting Annie down. So Thomas and his dog, Wink, set out across America on foot. On his 2nd day, Thomas is forced to kill a man in self defense. Rather than shocking him, it emboldens him. He has a similar situation a few weeks later which further empowers him. His journey across America to find Annie continues and Thomas finds himself in the middle of more unfortunate circumstances that require him to defend himself and others"--
