Allef Santos holds a degree in History from the State University of Maranhão - UEMA and a Master's degree in History from the Federal University of Maranhão - UFMA. While still an undergraduate, he began his research on death as a social and historical factor.He is the author of articles in the field of historiography and the history of death in Maranhão in the 19th century.
