Barbara went to India, in 1998 and saw the spirit of her mother swimming along beside her on the River Ganges in the form of a very rare river dolphin. A few days later, she heard the palm reader telling her strange tales of her grandparents' lives when they, too, were in India. Barbara brings to her story-telling her experiences of riding elephants in Rajasthan, diving on the Great Barrier Reef in the Coral Sea and exploring the jungles of Cambodia. Barbara was a schoolteacher, teaching in Elementary and Junior High Schools. This is her first novel. She has taught courses to seniors on memoir writing. Barbara and her husband have always enjoyed travelling and adventure. They embrace open-minded people, like themselves, who do not judge the differences but celebrate them. Barbara and her husband spend their winters in Mexico. Life, this far has been remarkable, enriching and fascinating.
