He grew up in the inner suburbs of Sydney Australia and after a working career in private enterprise, Australian military, the Australian public service, and as a consultant. He retired to write full time. He has published works in non-fiction and fiction. Mystery/suspense novels with stories based on history focusing on everyday lives.
