Have you gone through a traumatic experience? If so, dear survivor, Deep as the Sea is a collection of letters addressed to you. Physical or emotional abuse, accidents, unforeseen loss, military combat, and other tragedies remind us that we live in a broken world. The painful emotions that arise from these circumstances often linger after the experience is over. Using his doctoral expertise and personal experience with the topic of trauma, author and Pastor Timothy Bourman will help you grieve through the pain, find refuge in God, and discover a new purpose in life. This book is not a devotional or self-help guide. It's a carefully written walkthrough of the healing process and addresses trauma through a Christian lens. Deep as the Sea also provides you with an overview of current psychological treatment models and many comforting Bible passages to address the grief, shame, sorrow, anger, and other emotions that accompany traumatic events. Whether your inner wounds come from one frightening moment, a drawn-out struggle, or a series of troubling events, you will find scriptural hope and comfort in this unique book.
