Joel James Guttormsen is a father, husband, gemologist, and geologist. Joel has traveled the world, living in several countries for over sixty years. Joel is a scientist first and a writer second, with over forty years of using geoscience in the quest for significant discoveries. These discoveries include food, dogs, people, gemstones, and oil and gas. Joel is also a gemologist and a professional gemstone cutter. Joel has four children and a loving wife who will all testify they have been exposed to geology, but no one has said - enough.
