Rev. Dr. Charles Makoundi holds a doctorate degree in economic geology from the University of Tasmania, Australia. As a community leader, he is the national leader of the Australian Congolese Association (Bana Congo Brazza), the chairman of the Tasmanian African Community Forum (TAFRIC), and an advisor to the African Communities Council of Tasmania (ACCT). He also serves as Treasurer of the Culturally Diverse Alliance of Tasmania (CDAT).He works for the Department of State Growth, Mineral Resources Tasmania, as a Geoscience Data Officer. He currently holds a University Associate position at the University of Tasmania and contributes to geoscience education and research. He has published several scientific articles in peer-reviewed, high-impact journals. He has been a reviewer and editor for several international journals. He holds a certificate in ministry training from the School of Acts, Malaysia, and a diploma in cross-cultural ministry from the Malaysian Centre for Global Ministry. After being baptized by water immersion in 1994, he became involved in prayer ministry and pastoral work in his local Congolese church before going to Malaysia as a missionary.He and his wife contributed to church planting in Malaysia and were the lead pastors of Oikos International Fellowship between 2005 and 2007 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In 2008, they founded Jesus Power Ministry International in Malaysia before moving to Australia. Rev. Dr. Charles Makoundi was ordained as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ by the Ambassadors of Christ Ministry.
