Brittany Tew is a 20 year old senior at Baylor University in Waco. At the age of 16 years old, she earned early acceptance into medical school at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, by getting accepted into the Baylor to Baylor Medical Program, one of four students from across the nation to receive this coveted position. With hard work, she received a full academic scholarship to Baylor University, where she has maintained a 4.0 GPA. While at Baylor, she also has been on the Baylor Dean's List, involved in the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Served in Student Government, Baylor's Judicial Board, Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Fraternity, Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, President of Baylor Panhellenic, and is currently Miss Dallas in the Miss America Organization, competing for Miss Texas this summer. In the Miss America Organization, her platform is "Triumphing Over Tragedy," which details her journey to overcome adversity after the deaths of two of her sisters. It is also the title of her first book, which gives readers the POWER to triumph over any difficulty that they might be facing. Brittany has a passion to spread her message of hope about becoming better through difficulties, instead of becoming bitter. She will become a doctor in a few more years and plans to specialize in pediatric neurology.
