The further studies, biological effects of latex components on herbivores might unravel the roles of latex components in plant defense against herbivore and may lead to the discovery of novel proteins or chemicals that could be utilized for plant protection against pests. Actualmente el autor del libro está cursando el programa de doctorado en sericultura en la Universidad de Agricultura de Tamil Nadu. Además, completó los programas de licenciatura de la UG y PG en la misma disciplina. Se ha interesado en la entomología y el manejo de plagas de la morera. Por su trabajo de investigación de postgrado recibió el premio de joven investigador MS Swaminathan durante 2018.
