Public-Private Partnership (PPP) has become a popular tool for implementing public investment projects across the world. Many governments have been using PPP to realize investment projects concerning highways, railways, airports and other transport infrastructure. PPP is mutually beneficial relationship that is formed between the public and private sectors. When properly vetted and structured, PPP allocates risk to the party best suited to handle it. Furthermore, PPP is a powerful tool of public regulation in the context of investment, innovation, fiscal, and competitive policy.
