This additional influx of people needed entertainment, giving birth to Delavan's ballroom era, which lasted until 1960.

Patricia Ruth-Marsicano is the president of the Delavan Historical Society and an affiliate member of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin. She and her family are joined by generations of families that have enjoyed countless summers in Delavan and on Delavan Lake--a tradition that still continues to this day.
