This book is based on research on "Delimitation of Maritime Boundaries: Bangladesh Perspective" which was submitted to the IMO-International Maritime Law Institute, Malta, Europe, in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the award of the degree of Master of Laws(LL.M) in International Maritime Law. This book begins with a discussion on the potential pledge of the maritime boundaries dispute between Bangladesh and its neighboring countries against the background of UNCLOS. In this respect, the book examines the relevant provisions of existing International Law of the Sea, judgment of International courts, as well as relevant domestic law, in order to investigate options for the satisfactory management of the present and future problems concerning the resources found in the overlapping areas of the Bay of Bengal. Recent Judgment of ITLOS and award of PCA relating to maritime boundaries dispute also discussed in his book. In view of plethora of materials and sources, this bookincludes a new part on research methods with the intention to provide a brief idea about the international courts views which will prove invaluable to the national and international parishioners.

Dr.Mohammad Mohiuddin,LLB(Honours),LLM(1st Class),LLM in International Maritime Law,PhD: Studied Maritime Law at IMO-International Maritime Law Institute,Malta and University of Milano-Bicocca,Italy.He is the author of Several articles. He did fellowship with UN and Internship with ITLOS.He is Deputy Secretary to the Ministry of Law of Bangladesh.
