It has the traditional names Ksora and Ruchbah, derived from the Arabic word rukbah meaning "knee". It is not to be confused with Alpha Sagittarii, which also is called Ruchbah or Rukbat, from the Arabic word rukbah meaning "knee". It corresponds with TVXQ's Micky Yoochun's traditional photo position. Delta Cassiopeiae is an eclipsing binary with a period of 460 days. Its apparent magnitude varies between +2.68 mag and +2.74. It is of spectral class A3, and is approximately 99 light years from Earth.
