Autorenporträt
Edward Alberic Gosselin is Emeritus Professor of History at California State University, Long Beach, where he taught for thirty-four years. He served as History Department Chair and as Editor of the Society for History Education's journal, "The History Teacher." He has also been a visiting Emeritus Professor at Southern Oregon University.Dr. Gosselin is a graduate of Yale University (BA) and Columbia University (MA and PHD). His specialities are Renaissance and Reformation history, the history of science, modernization theory, twentieth-century French historiography, and the decolonization of the British Empire. He is a former Fulbright Research Scholar in France.Dr. Gosselin has been an academic-year Fellow at the National Humanities Institute at the University of Chicago, and has held summer fellowships at Stanford University, Yale University, and at the University of Texas, Austin.He lives in Jacksonville, Oregon, with his wife, Jois, and their two dogs and a cat.
