It is in forums and meetings of the boards where decisions concerning how school has to be governed for maintenance of peace, justice, harmony and democratic principles in schools, are made. The study raises strong argument in favour of student's involvement in school boards by indicating that it is the right step to take as students would feel honoured and accept ownership of the decisions reached. Hence they will be less interested in engaging in ruthless actions such as strikes which often bring bitter results like vandalism, injuries, and sometimes death.

Mokone Matsepe a obtenu son premier diplôme en 1984 à l'Université nationale du Lesotho et une maîtrise en éducation en 1997 à l'Université de Witwatersrand. Il a poursuivi ses études à l'université d'Afrique du Sud et a obtenu son doctorat en éducation en 2003. Il est actuellement commissaire au ministère de l'éducation du Lesotho.
