The main tribes of the district are the Awan, Dhund Abbasi, Dhanyal, Bhatti, Chauhan, Janjua, Maliar, Mangral, Jasgam (Abbasi), Mughals, Pashtuns, Qureshi, Rawal, Satti and Sayyid.
